Nearly 50 students were recognized for persevering to complete coursework in Pattonville High School's nationally certified biomedical science program. During the school's third annual White Coat Ceremony and Recognition Program, fourth-year students received a laboratory notebook for use in their scientific research and internships, while third-year students received a special white laboratory coat with their name embroidered on it. Second-year students received a biomedical science department T-shirt. At the end of the program, the entire biomedical class recited the Hippocratic oath before family, friends and colleagues.

Pattonville High School senior Grace Skelton has been named a semifinalist in the National Merit Scholarship Program and now has the opportunity to continue in the competition to earn a National Merit Scholarship.

On Sept. 5, Pattonville began work with parents, students, community members, staff and area leaders to update its strategic plan during its first CSIP (Comprehensive School Improvement Plan) meeting of the school year. The updated plan will focus on ensuring all students become "success-ready graduates" and planning for and addressing any critical issues that may arise in the areas of facilities, safety, staffing and finances.
