Ten volunteers and staff members have been chosen to receive the Pride of Pattonville Award. Honorees for this year's award were announced on April 7. They are:

  • Glenn Changar, permanent substitute at Holman Middle School;
  • Jackie Ditmeyer, receptionist at Pattonville High School;
  • Shelli Greenblatt, parent volunteer at Willow Brook Elementary School;
  • Mark Houston, assistant principal at Pattonville Heights Middle School;
  • Scott Hutson, sixth-grade social studies teacher at Pattonville Heights;
  • Russ Klenke, community volunteer and pastor at Simple Church;
  • Phyllis Pasley, music teacher at Willow Brook;
  • Jackie Wasser, parent volunteer at Bridgeway Elementary School;
  • Michael Winship, seventh-grade science teacher at Pattonville Heights; and
  • Lori Zanitsch, Special School District teacher at Drummond Elementary School.
Each year, the Pattonville School District honors those who serve in the district with its Pride of Pattonville Award. The award recognizes volunteers and staff for outstanding service to the district. Honorees are chosen based on excellence in performance, service, character and contributions to the district. Any district parent, volunteer, employee or other friend of Pattonville is eligible to receive a Pride of Pattonville honor.

A screening committee consisting of Pride of Pattonville Award recipients from the last two years selects the recipients from nominations submitted throughout the month of February. A maximum of 10 awards is given each year.

This year's honorees will be recognized on May 1 at Pattonville’s annual District Appreciation Night. During the event, retiring staff members, employees with milestone years of service and parent volunteers are honored and the district’s Teacher of the Year and Support Staff Employee of the Year are named.
