Holman Middle School students have taken to publishing their original works on the Internet, providing a real-world application for their research and writing in their English language arts classes.

In sixth grade, some of Lori Fisk's students elected to complete an extra project after reading the book "Anything But Typical." The book is about a shy boy with autism named Jason who has trouble communicating verbally with his peers and is bullied at school. However, Jason is a gifted writer and finds a friend through an online storyboard. To match the events in the book, sixth-grader Jaylen Carter, Katherine Kellner, Talisa Prabhu and Sydney Suvansri decided to create a video and website on inclusion.
