This is the second year the team has earned second place. The national award is based on a 1,000-point scoring system, which gives points for writing, editing, creativity, design and content. Members of the Newspaper Club are: Sofia Boughton, who is editor-in-chief of the paper this year, Nolan Ballard, Charlize Berra, Matt Jacobi, Aaliyah Johnson, Gavin Lingle, Sophia Tabers and Destiny Wiser. They are sponsored by Glenn Changar.
