The playschool at Pattonville High School has openings available for the 2017-2018 school year. The program accepts preschoolers aged 3 through 5 who are potty trained and live in the Pattonville School District.
The playschool is held from 8:25 a.m. to 1:05 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays beginning in September and runs for 26 days each semester. The fall 2017 start date is Sept. 18. The playschool is off when the high school is closed for holidays, snow days, etc. Parents must be able to have their child at the playschool and on time unless there is an emergency.
The playschool program was designed as a laboratory experience for Pattonville High School students enrolled in child development classes. Students, under the guidance of teacher Twila Harris, provide an enriching, fun and safe environment for the preschoolers in the playschool. Activities that involve and stimulate children intellectually, emotionally, physically and socially will be provided.
"The children learn in the way they learn best, through play and fun activities involving learning colors, numbers, shapes, alphabet, matching, small motor and large motor skills," Harris said.
The fee for the program is $100 per semester to help cover the cost of supplies and other necessities. For more information on the program, contact Harris at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
