Pattonville takes second in Class 5 state football championship

The Pattonville varsity football team took second place in the Missouri Class 5 State Championship on Nov. 25 after competing against Staley High School. The final score of the game was Staley, 36, Pattonville, 35. At the end of the season, Staley was tied with Vianney as the No. 1 ranked high school in Missouri Class 5 football. Pattonville was ranked No. 5.
 

Thousands of Pirate football fans traveled to the Mizzou Tigers football stadium on the campus of the University of Missouri-Columbia to cheer their team. The trip to the state finals was the first for the Pirates since 2000. The team ended its 2017 season with a 9-4 record.
