24 Pattonville choir, orchestra students qualify for state competition

Twenty-four choir and orchestra students are advancing to the state competition after earning Exemplary - 1 ratings at the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) District Solo and Ensemble Festival.

Choir members advancing to state are solos Sarah Burke, Aaron Garner, Nadia Maddex, Christopher Tobar and Tony Washington, who received a perfect score; the seventh-hour ensemble sextet of Alonna Gibson, Trinity Gleghorn, Sierra Jones, Olivia Pursley, Madelyn Radican and Teoni Walker; and the High Cs trio of Maddex, Chloe Neal and Tamia Tyler. Teacher Melynda Lamb directs these students.

The Pattonville orchestra students advancing to state are solos Jade Boyd, violin, Adam Mitchell, violin, Abby Surlet, bass, and Natalie Young, violin; string duets Amelia Khan and Lily Smith, both violin, and Jarred McCormick, violin, and Jacob Wilfong, viola; and the bass quartet of Lacey Harder, Will Skaggs, Surlet and Maiya Varner. Teacher Michael Dunsmoor directs these students.
