On Thursday, October 29 and Friday, October 30, PHS will be entering Phase 2 of our high school return to in-person learning. This means that in-person learning will commence for those families who chose the in-person learning option. Families who chose Villemade Academy will remain engaged in virtual learning for the remainder of 1st semester. The enclosed Pattonville High School Phase 2 Handbook will provide detailed information regarding what Phase 2 will look like for both the in-person learner and the Villemade Academy (all virtual) learner
It is important that all PHS students and families carefully review the attached handbook.
With everything going on amid the coronavirus pandemic, here’s a little bit of good news: Kate Schneider, an Early Childhood special education speech-language pathologist, is now cancer-free and doing well.
On Dec. 31, she was diagnosed with breast cancer at 39 weeks pregnant.
“2020 brought aggressive chemotherapy and radical surgeries while raising a newborn in a global pandemic,” she wrote in an email. “I am now, humbly and gratefully, CANCER-FREE.”
“Miss Kathy” was one of three Pattonville bus drivers working with Drummond Elementary School students today teaching them about the importance of bus safety. Classes took turns getting onto a bus where students were able to practice a school bus evacuation.
“Before we go out the back door, we go over all the different scenarios and talk about what they might have to do if there is an emergency while they are on the bus,” Miss Kathy said.
