|Thursday, March 22, 2018|
The Pattonville Board of Education on March 13 awarded a bid to Care ATC to provide employee health care clinics. Pattonville is partnering with the Francis Howell and Parkway school districts to launch employee health care clinics which will provide at least one clinic located within each school district. Employees from all three districts will also have access to all the clinics in the agreement and be able to use other existing Care ATC clinics in the area. Employees would have the option of using their own physicians or using the employee clinic for a variety of health care needs. The model, which has been shown to increase access for employees and reduce health care expenses for employers, is a growing trend being used by other school districts and companies both locally and nationally.
Under the agreement, each clinic will be staff by a doctor and other staff who can dispense generic drugs on site, reducing the need for injured or sick employees to make a second trip to a pharmacy. The clinics will provide Pattonville staff the following benefits:
These dedicated patient-centered health care clinics will provide staff members increased access and convenience to health care services. Care ATC will be responsible for providing a high quality of care for staff, and maintaining excellent customer service. The goal is to launch the clinic model next fall. The annual operating costs will be offset by reduced health insurance expenses to the district.
