It was a year-long project to make a young girl’s dream come true, and the students and staff at Pattonville High School made it a reality by raising more than $5,000 for Make-A-Wish.
The Pattonville High School Student Council spearheaded a district-wide effort to raise funds to help 5-year-old Ryleigh realize her dream to go to Disney World. Ryleigh is a Make-A-Wish ambassador and has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. Her family lives in the Pattonville School District.
After surpassing their goal to raise $5,000 this spring, students presented a check to Make-A-Wish during an end-of-the year, all-school recognition assembly in the Pattonville High School gym on May 10.
Ryleigh was a special guest at several Pattonville High School activities this year, including homecoming, where she helped crown homecoming queen Nadia Maddex and had a float in the homecoming parade.
